I think I'm pregnant...
In the last few weeks I've encouraged a suicidal person to drink hard, I've made someone so mad that after seeing one of my posts he sent me an e-mail telling me what a horrible human being I am, I apologized to him, I defended my humor (I wish I could say honor... ) against someone who was talking about something completely different, and I've been told that my lame attempts at humor are not appreciated by anyone. I've also recently developed a craving for anything and everything -Songs, Sonar, Instruments, P5, on topic delicacies, off topic fingerfoods, and even the E-Store! Based on my 12-year-old-girl-like emotional outbursts and increased irrational posting, the only logical conclusion I can come to is that I'm pregnant. Please DO NOT respond to this thread as I haven't been to my doctor yet, and we all know how unreliable home tests can be (The box said "+" means pregnant, and "-" means not pregnant, but the result I got was "purple")... Oh yeah, how do I change the tempo of tracks individually in Sonar? I want my kick and snare to really pump out a furious groove, like maybe 150bpm or so. But my piano and sax tracks need to be all "chill" and "mellow", maybe around 91 or 94bpm. TIA!!!

ORIGINAL: jinga8 I defended my humor (I wish I could say honor...) So do I. You're not pregnant, you're just hopelessly self-absorbed (and apparently unable to see it). What a shock that PM must have been to you! Are you okay? Can I help you in any way? Do you need a cold compress? God, the world is unfair!!! Maybe you should turn off your computer and go help someone in need - for no reason at all. Just find someone less fortunate than yourself and help them. You might be surprised at the outcome. Or, plan B would be to just turn up your amp and ROCK!!!!! After all, the world rarely appreciates someone of your talent and abilities!!! HAIL SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pregnant ? No Greg, it's just menopause, mate. I feel moved to comment that you are, without doubt, the most amusing person on this forum. With regard to the poor sap who said that your, "lame attempts at humor are not appreciated by anyone", the prognosis is not good. Sense of humour bypass reversals are still only in the trial stage ("beta" to you computer-heads) & cannot, at this stage, be recommended. Perhaps an Amish community might be suitable or perhaps simple solitary seclusion ?

jinga - I asked my OB-GYN friend what a purple pregnancy test result meant and she said that you're either pregnant with a cute and fuzzy dinosaur, or (more likely) you just have really bad gas. Either way, eating a family-sized bottle of Rolaids should get you back to normal. edit: typ0

Well... if he were to take the Amish option, perhaps he could kick-start a new musical genre, using a good 64-dowel system with hot iron interface. Or just spend a nice afternoon being non-violent with his wife. Greg, just keep on being yourself... I like you that way. BTW, have you picked a name yet? Russ

Does anybody know the answer to his question? You can't set different tempos for different tracks in SONAR, correct?
Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit. Hardware: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd; Roland Integra-7; TCE Finalizer; Presonus Central Station, Behringer X-Touch. Home built i7 with 16 GB RAM, SSDs.

Oh yeah, how do I change the tempo of tracks individually in Sonar? I want my kick and snare to really pump out a furious groove, like maybe 150bpm or so. But my piano and sax tracks need to be all "chill" and "mellow", maybe around 91 or 94bpm. TIA!!! Easy. Record three different projects at three different tempos, export as WAVs then import them into a new project. Result! But you don't really want to do that....

One way is to step enter the drum parts, and use a ratio for the 8th beats (or whatever notes you're using) for just the drum part, and then tell it to make the notes 5 in the time of 3 (or in the same time as 4) as in 5:4 or 5:3...that type of thing. Might do the trick

Freakin awesome, man! Thank you! That did the trick. My hardcore punk smooth jazz ditty thingies sound like they are supposed to now! I knew someone would help me out. Thanks to re5700, jamesg1213, and riojazz for actually taking me seriously and trying to help. And a special thanks to RRNJ for showing us just how cool and nifty an all-around guy you are. To all the other fools who insist on dragging some threads off topic, grow up guys! This forum is here to help people with questions about Sonar, and I think we all need to work just a little bit harder to ensure that we stay focused on making our music better/faster/radio-friendlier. I'm off to interpolate some enharmonic frequency divisions for my next tune!!! edited: cuz I have no freakin' clue what dgh means (My Norwegian has been a bit rusty ever since I took it white water rafting last spring and forgot to cover up the exposed participles)...
