I think I'll go hopping this week. Leave the Harddisk on all the time? I turn my computer off even though I have no Sleep set on anything and everything is on if the computer is on.

    Hi,

I was going to get me a synthesizer ... but not getting enough help with teh software bullmerder and the midicrappler keyboard that no one knows anything about ... kinda took its toll.

I'm gonna get me another video card instead ... and enjoy the computer, and screw the music!

Tired of asking for help and some folks being so rude, as to not even answer their emails ...

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

I was just looking at my drives this morning thinking I might need to do some pre-emptive buying and cloning...

Can't be too careful there. Just did some cloning. My streaming files disk was too large to clone to my ourboard drive so I just bought another larger drive that would handle it. Things don't often change on that drive so I don't need to update it often.

Setting up new HDD's is so stressful. Especially with Windows 7.

It seems that once you install it, it never ever really goes away if you decide you want to wipe the drive out and do a complete reinstall.

The last version of Acronis I bought allows you to restore to a different brand/size HDD. I've never had to use that function yet, but it sounds sweet if it works. Prior to the version I bought several years ago, you could do that.

    Well

Picked up the 2TB Barracuda and Ill be &^$%%$.
Cannot get it to load from the disk I made when I first got the computer.
It will show it initially extracting Windows, then will quit and go to sleep.

Lost and hate to pay BestBuy to do it-They are Crooks when it comes to this.
