I want to change default audio folders to a separate hard drive

everytime I start a new project, Sonar seems to default to the C drive. Is there a way that I can change this to make Sonar store it into a separate hard drive instead of maually having to do it every time? I want to set it to drive K:Cakewalk Projects.

    Preferences>File>Folder Locations>Project Files

    and

    Preferences>File>Audio Data>Global Audio Folder

    Is there a way to change the audio folder on a "per project" basis? I have some projects that were originally created in PA9 so they don't have a saved project audio folder as you do with a new X1 project (actually because they were just midi files). I would like to add some audio files, but when I record them it doesn't ask where I want to save the files. Does this need to be changed in the prefs for each of my projects in order to save the audio into their associated folders? In Vegas Pro when you arm a track it asks you where you want to record the file to which is very handy.

    Ted, if you open them up in X1 and do a "Save As" everything should be referenced properly, assuming you are using "Per Project" folders (which you should!)

    Thanks Jonesey. I'll check and see if my tracks are saved correctly. I know when you create a new project it allows you to choose to create new project folders...but my old PA9 projects did not do that since they were just midi to begin with. I will make sure I do a save as to be on the safe side.
