I don't care about this myself being directed at me, but I dislike homophobic comments. I have plenty of friends who are gay. Have reported to admin ( out of this thread myself).

Alex... do you have something against the disabled? Wouldn't you consider "homophobia" a disability? I would... then, some people may think they have legitimate reason to fear gay men since the latest numbers, from IIRC a UCLA research group indicate that about 1.5% of American men are gay... now if you look at the influence they weild, you might think that you have a legitimate concern. Listening to pliticians and the media one would think the number to be closer to 25%... that could lead some to think that there is a concerted effort afoot to make the numbers seem much more than they are in an effort to make it more acceptable and more appealing...

Personally, I have no problem with gay people as long as they don't try to move into my home. I have homosexual family members and friends. I don't feel threatend, some do. I think it is possibly a disabilty, a weakness and you should treat them with a little more understanding.. IMO.

As for public displays of affection, I do not care for it... either homosexual or hetrosexual. Both are out of place, IMO.

Don't get me wrong Alex, I like you. One knows where they stand with you and I hope you understand my meaning in this post. It is nothing more or less than what it says. Idon't fear gays. I don't think they are going to make people who don't have the inclination, to become gay... netherdo I equate them with any racial group as related to civil rights... I don't think that makes me homophobic... it just means I have an opinion.

Anyway, I think maybe you should be more considerate of people who struggle with an unfounded fear: a phobia. People with phobias should be helped, not persecuted.

I sure am glad I don't have to be Kossoff anymore... I was getting tired of it.

Fair point Jbow, personally I feel with people who are homophobic they are often in denial rather than have an illness, not to take away that point.

Yeah... we're all just human. I find it easiest to just like most everyone... I think you do too. Most people do but haters are different sort of folk, I don't see any around here... they are usually the trolls that don't fit in anywhere.

I didn't mean anything serious, just yakking. Too much seriousness already for me.
