I want to hear metranome only in my headphones
Can I get the metranome on sonar to play during record and have no music playing thru the phone. I know what Im playing but my timing is off cuff and faster that I can understand tick tick tick to my strumming pattern. Also, where can I changer I metranome speeds in the song. How do I get it to change at measuer 20 then change back to the original. For ex - intro at 2/4 120 time. verse at 4/4 135 time. choras at 6/8 100 time???? I know how to get each but not schedule or plan them for 'x' measure
**Computer - Built, Intel Core i5-2300 (true 4 core but has 8 core), 8gb RAM, 2.8GHz(pushes to 3.2), 1.5 TB HD, Windows 7(home premium), 64-bit OS. **Hardware - SonarLE 8.5, Allen & Health zed 14 mixer(USB), MLX 990 pencil/big boy combo condencer mics, set of RPG2 monitors, XLR cables other than guitars.

Some audio interfaces allow you to send different mixes to different outputs, like my Saffire can, but not all interfaces. You'll have to look in your A&H manual to see if it can be set up like that. As for your questions about entering different tempos and time signatures in the same project, the Insert menu is your friend.

There's no way to make it play a diffrent tempo than the project. For that you would need an audio click track. Just add tempo changes where needed.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

So, is the problem that you have trouble hearing the metronome? I do too, that's why I create a drum track to record to. Much louder than the met.

Go to measure 20 on the timeline, click on the Insert menu and select Tempo Change. Set the required value for the tempo. Still on measure 20, click on the Insert menu and select Meter/Key Change. Set the Beats per Measure to 2 or 4 or whatever. Similarly, set other tempo changes and meter changes at the start of each verse and chorus.
