I was stupid!!
I had to reformat my computer and I didn't back up my Cakewalk program correctly. I have all my serial numbers and all that. Is there any way I can download it again without paying the $30?
Apparently I saved all my music files, but the program its self is GONE.
It just keeps getting weirder.

Yes, but you have to contact CW and tell them what has happened - that's the only way.

I had the same problem and I sent CW an e-mail and they sent me a link to download mc3 again no charge it worked fine

I got ahold of costomer support via E-mail. They sent me a phone number. The lady on the phone said they would e-mail me a link to download the program again.
So far that's it. Three days and no link.
It just keeps getting weirder.

I wouldn't have waited that long. after 1 day of no contact, that should be plenty of time. does your ISP do spam filtering? they have a big problem with that. if not your ISP, check your computer's spam filtering if it has any.
I'd also call them back right away and tell them you didn't receive the email.

I think Beagle should be called Saint Beagle for the patience he shows on these pages. I thought about responding the the VSTi & VST post by Marce but couldn't find a positive way to word my thoughts. Beagle, on the other hand, responded very nicely and patiently. Beagle, can I borrow some of your patience to use at work tomorrow? I work for insane people and they really test my limits sometimes....

Sure, Mike! Here ya go! You know, when I met and was dating my wife, I told her how impatient I was. I felt that I was impatient because I can't STAND waiting in line, I get upset when people are oblivious to other's needs and when they're inconsiderate, things like that. Then she got to know me and I mentioned it again after we had been spending a lot of time together, including time with her two young boys...needless to say she set me straight.
