I wish Cakewalk for DOS was back.

I mean our (US) officials are trying to make everything be like in olden times.

Maybe they can bring back DOS on all computers?

Simpler times, no?

Simpler times, only because you knew the limitations, and it was hard to get past them.
Now we all have (potentially) broadcast quality audio recording / mastering at our fingertips.
Except, wait a minute, broadcasting has all changed hasn't it ? Now, that's the hard part.
FWIW . . . computers still have DOS, I use it everyday, in fact, I had to buy a new keyboard the other day . . .
. . . wore out the "enter" key on my old one, kept hitting it too hard like it was the snare drum or something . . .

Oh yeah, forgot to say "Cakewalk", so we don't get moved to the coffee house.

Cakewalk by Bandlab, Cubase, RME Babyface Pro, Intel i7 3770K @3.5Ghz, Asus P8Z77-VPro/Thunderbolt, 32GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 250 GB OS SSD, 2TB HDD samples, Win 10 Pro 64 bit, backed up by Macrium Reflect, Novation Impulse 61 Midi Key Controller, Tannoy Active Near Field Monitors, Guitars by Vantage, Gibson, Yamaki and Ovation.

No frankly, I do not want to go back to DOS, but I ask myself more and more whether the last 10 years have been really a progress? Windows 8, 10, cloud spyware, "intelligent" software installers, VST3, licenses only online, law rules on the internet, internet pages and shops, ..., is that better nowadays than in 2010?

Was it not so much better when you could buy a software for lifetime, install it offline with your license key only and run it offline? Was the software not more rugged, so that they did not have to sent you an update all couple of weeks? Frankly, I doubt if future is always advance! (Sure it is not black and white)

Isn't DOS 2 in Spanish?
Was it their 2nd OS?

Cakewalk for DOS never left.

The problem these days is to find a DOS compatible computer ... maybe backwards compatibility for new computers should be ordered as an obligation by decree of the emperor ? It would have my full support.

OS:Win7x64 SP1 CPU:i5/8GB/SSD DAWs : CbB, FLS, SO2, (Reaper) etc. To much Gear, not enough wires.

Well............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................it's a long subject but...............................................................................................................................................................................................I don't wanna go back. They don't put as much creativity into the promos anymore. I will say that.
