I'm Into Something Good!!!

Classic Herman's Hermits song botched by Bapu.

Knocked this out between 4:00PM Monday (25 June 2012) and noon Tuesday (26 June 2012).
Some rough spots in the lead vocal which I'll try further to fix.

EZDrummer "The Classic" Kit, NI Scarbee EP, NI Vintage Organs - MIDI
Spacey 5-String Bass, Line 6 JTV-69 Acoustic Guitar, Vocals - Bapu

Two part harmony is just me, full harmony is Antares Harmony Generator via my root vocal line.

I'm Into Something Good

I did this one for The Lovely Lady and it got me a smile, a hug and some kisses. 'Nuff said.

Nicely done Ed , sounds schweeet! Love the sound of the EP (not with the pitch wheel mularkey tho.. )

Now, a vid with multiple Bapu's would be most appropriate...

Ha! When I saw the initial part, I was hoping it would be Mrs. Brown you got a lovley daughter, but this is quite good :-) My favorite from you actually. You needed the Aaaaaaa! (I think it's in the cover?) Great organ and piano sounds.

sounds pretty good, but there is something a wee bit to perfect(needs humanizing)
just out of curiousity did you download midi tracks from like a midi website and use some of them.
its that or the quantize is set to max.

the mix was really good and i thought your voice actually sounded pretty good on this song as well, something i personaly cant say ive said before.

Love it mate. One thing that bothers me though - the melody change for the verses (e.g. in the first verse "there's something special on my mind") .  I want to hear the same melody as the original. I think it goes to a 7th chord in the original.

    LOL

There's something 'cute' about the vocal that I don't even want to investigate.

I love the backing the only thing I don't like there is the 'auto-panning' on the organ, it sounds nice though.

    Good one.

    Well done!

Good job on this Ed! Everything works..mix is really welld one...very analog sounding yet good presence without being too warm or muddy. Kick and bass work great together....and wow...another snare that I like! LOL! :)

Agree with Jon on the auto-pan...sounds a bit too much but it does work and I love the sound of the organ. You sing pretty good man...I'm impressed! The more you do it...the better you get. Good job brother! :)
