I'm Stupid... or something (Focusrite OctoPre Mkii Dynamic, Delta 1010lt, & Sonar X2)

so...

I have several things go'n on, but right now this one is the one that i'm disliking the most.

I have a Focusrite OctoPre Mkii Dynamic into a Delta 1010lt (most current drivers) & Sonar X2 Producer.

my issue is i'm get'n signal to my Focusrite on all 8 channels.  I'm get'n signal on my 1010lt on just channels 1 & 2 and when i arm them in Sonar i get no signal on any of the 1010lt inputs.

Also in the channels 1 & 2 it doesn't matter what adjustments i make on the Focusrite (even turning the level to zero) the signal strength coming to the 1010lt is unchanging. basically clipping out the 1010lt.

so, i've checked & recheck my signal flow and i'm fairly certain that my 1/4 outputs on my Focusrite are run'n to the correct RCA inputs of my 1010lt.

I have gone into the Delta Control Panel and adjust the settings and i also have a Delta 66 card works fine.

any input would be awesome.

thanks!

what's the purpose of running the focusrite octopre into the 1010LT?  the focusrite has A/D converters of it's own - I assume from your post you're not using them?  you're going line out of the octopre to line in of the 1010LT?

@beagle... I thought the Octopre was only a pre amp unit that needs to connect to an interface.

As far as what the problem is I'm sure Focusrite customer support can help you sort it out. They're pretty helpful. Cheers.

You have the 8 analog line outputs of the Focurite connected to the 8 analog line inputs of the 1010?
Maybe the 1010 is set for -10db input sensitivity. If that is the case try setting it to +4db.
Not sure why you are only getting 2 channels??? Maybe a 1010 setup issue. Is it set correctly in the 1010 patch bay software?

The 8 Line Outs on the Octopre should be connected to the 8 line inputs on the 1010LT.
In Sonar X2 preferences-devices you should have all of the Delta Inputs selected. You'll probably see Delta Analog In 1, 3, 5, and 7. (The mono inputs are paired so you use them for stereo inputs also, so Analog 1 is Left, Analog 2 is Right. In the track input you'll have an option to select 1&2 for a stereo track.

On the Delta Control Panel input tab select +4dB or -10dB. That might help with the signal level.

    Check those and report back.
