I'm having a problem importing an mp3 audio file...let me explain...

well i have 2 cakewalk softwares...

1. cakewalk music creator
2. guitar tracks pro 3

whenever i import an audio file , say an mp3 and/or wav file, the playback sounds choppy (don't know the correct terminology)..playback is slow and it breaks up though it is audible...it won't play it at a normal rate...same if i try to record vocals with a microphone...i'm sure there is a pretty simple solution...what can i do to remedy this?

i am pretty new at this so any help would me much appreciated..thank you and have a great day

    did you run the wave profiler yet? Options/Audio menu

    also what kind of audio card are you using?
