I'm hoping this isn't true, but... RIP Scotty Moore

Seymour Duncan just shared this on Facebook.

One of the greats, and probably my earliest influence as a guitarist.

    Hi,

I have to admit I have never listened to Elvis and thought about the instrumentation ... I'll gladly check. I have the same issue with Ray Charles ... I got stuck on the vocal and its quality and never bothered to check the music!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Scotty Moore probably influenced more guitarists than anybody short of Chet Atkins and Jimi Hendrix.

Unfortunately, I had never heard of Scotty before this thread!  Not the right time to discover him...
