I'm re-plugging Sally ... er um ...

... yeah, anyway ...

Remember the thread where I was tellin' ya'll about the guy in my band that had a fight with his family over an Elvis costume ...

    Bands or any business. One family member is enough. I know brothers here in Atlanta who were not speaking to each other the last time I saw them. They started making R&R tee shirts, tour stuff and shirts to sell in clubs back in the 70s. In the 90s the business had grown so large that they sold out to a huge company that was making most of the NASCAR shirts and hats... but something went wrong and as always it involved money... sad.

    Falling out over an Elvis costume is a new one on me... I mean surely there was more to it than that. Please tell me that the costume was the "last straw" in a string of events.

    Fun tune. Personally, I don't care for the muzak keyboard tones but I dig the vocals and the guitar. Some songs are just hard to beat. Mustang Sally is one for sure!

    Well, I don't remember details ... but I think the lead singer and her husband were splitting up. That's how the dividing of the equipment and costumes started to get in motion.

    I never saw them play out, but I was told she could sing extremely well ... I dated her for a while just after-ish their breakup ... she was 38 ... I was 17ish ...
