I'm sold...

Hi

I've been a Sonar user since Sonar 2 Producer and now on Platinum. I work in a Pro Tools focused music production college and have waivered on the Pro Tools / Sonar debate for a while. I was initially unsure about the Gibson takeover but not any more. I think the new customer-focused business model is working very well, the Platinum features, interface and workflow are excellent and there is a great vibe developing about the product as a whole. I really feel I am so much more personally connected to the brand and not just an end user. I LOVE the new mix recall, virtual keyboard and step sequencer - they all work brilliantly esp. the latter with my touch screen + the matrix. It all makes Pro Tools looks so 'vanilla'!

My 2 requests are:

1. Give the SCORE EDITOR attention!!!
2. Keep developing the touch screen abilities (see the new Presonus RM32AI sofware GUI as an example)

All in all, a great product.

Gary

This will never happen.  People have been begging for decades and Cakewalk always refuses.

    Never say never.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Cakewalk has changed. They now have the Feature & Ideas forum, in which people can vote.

Does anyone know why Finale or Sibelius can't be rewired in?

Theoretically Sibelius can be but I've never gotten it to work reliably.  But, of course, then you have to import every thing into Sonar to mix etc...
