You only need to master the language if you intend to read the ingredients on the side of the bag. I'd suggest that doing so could potentially diminish one's enjoyment of the product. Better, for example, to not know if any mutant swine from Fukushima were involved. The smiling face of a happy saucer-eyed anime child should be enough to convey the essence of what you're about to enjoy.

It's funny the difference in the variety of chips flavors from country to country. Canada has probably the largest variety I have seen (yes, besides ketchup chips - we also have bacon-flavored chips). Same w/ candy bars actually - I was surprised to see how little variety there was in the US by comparison, I was expecting the opposite. But anyway, chips... I had posted these when I was back in Moscow. Caviar, crab and kebab. Unsettling to say the least...
