This song just makes me smile, bob my head, and tap my foot.

Great production, brilliant funny lyrics, super vocals and guitar work, love the horns, background vocals, pickaxe foley clips.  Awesome! :)

Wow Riley...this un' is a run away hit or should be! Very clever lyrics comparing a heart to a coal mine..the way you wrote it is cool. I hate to admit it but a certain individual I've known came to mind when I heard the song...almost like you wrote it for her....I guess we have all met a cold hearted biotch at some point...it's even worse if you love them....anyways...the music is wonderful too!

Excellent! Like a big production B52's. My only comment would be that it's 'full-on' from the get-go, might be good to hold a little back in the first verse at least. It's all good though, the track rocks like a good 'un!

Listened to all your SoundCloud songs and left comments on a couple of them.  You have really got some mixing chops and know how to use effects to add-to and compliment a song.

Another great song.  Well written and well produced.  I liked the touch the synthy brass sounds gave, as well as the backing vocals.  It's got a nice sort of 80's rock feel to it, and and that's a good thing to me.

superb! production, playing, music all top-notch. a few tiny nits, like i'd lose the brass stings in the solo, and be good to hear a break-down post-solo before a reprise of the chorus...but great work

I'd pull the keys back a bit and push you vox up...in fact I think if you just push that vox up everything will fall into place...even the pcik sound is way in front of the vox...

Other than bringing up the lead vox a bit for clarity, it sounds pretty good here.    Nice thick mix, phat synth stabs, and the backup vocals are particularly nice.

As always great stuff... and produced perfectly..  You get such a clear bright and transparent sound, much of it is the playing (not over playing and such), but the sound itself is great.  Do you use mostly hardware effects in your studio or do you use a lot of plug ins?  Both is the likely answer but I am dying to know how you get such a big clear sound.

Thanks, ol pal. With the exception of the occasional use of my Kemper Profiler, I'm totally "in the box". Excellent plugins and years of getting it wrong...but learning are the only excuses I've got for any decent results:-)

Hilarious! How did I miss this one?

    Robert Palmer lives!

Loved the background vocals that suggest . . . something else . . . entirely.

I'd also vote for lead vocals up or just notch that electric guitar so the lead vocal can slip through a little more?

    cheers,
    nice job as usual!
