I've been blown away!

What can i say i feel inspired. Today i fired it up and went to work. I felt like I got my old inspiration back and I felt like I was allowed to work freely with out thinking about stability or whether it will work this way or that. All I had to do was intiate a few functions. Then I was in the flow of it. When I wanted to do something I just did it. Its like a well oiled clock with all the cloggs working in sweet synchronicity. I didn't want to stop working and producing became a stroll in the park a really true Cakewalk. I felt like there was no inhabitions...all I can say is fun, fun, fun. I used the effects placed them in with no hiccups. I was hitting home runs all the way. Now I'm lookin forward to working again. Funny enough that this is just the demo, and it feels good. The love has come back to me and my adrenaline is flowing through my veins. I am going to fire up Sonar now and see if I get the same feeling and same drive and motivation that I experienced whilst using the Presonus software. What an adrenaline rush!!!

It took me some time to figure out you are talking about Studio One. To be honest it sounded as if you were describing me working with Sonar 8.5 Producer.

You say 'When I wanted to do something I just did it'. Well, that's quite an achievement because when I had the demo I was looking for functions and options all the freakin' time instead of making music. But maybe you only record audio: then Studio One is indeed just as easy to use as Sonar. Or maybe I am getting to old for new versions and new software and all that ever changing crap.

Sonar 8.5 PE, Edirol FA-66, Behringer C-1. All instruments in my songs are VSTi's.

especially since he just started a thread a week or so ago about why he thinks X1 is superior to Studio One.

I played with Studio One's demo and there are some things about it I really like.  but it would take some time for me to figure it out well enough to use it productively.  it's not intuitive to me and there are things that are difficult for me to find.  it looks promising, but I'm not about to give up on sonar.
