Looks like i will have to wait and extra couple of weeks until UK stores get the boxed ugrades in,That 12 GB will take me a very long time indeed, gutted as i dont think it will be worth the risk, just to crash half way threw after many hours.

Some Day we'll find out how much that will be (boxed version). I don't understand why they're being so silent about it? They've said it was $30 in another thread.

I have 24Mbit speed and some of my friends have 100Mbit speed. NI servers going slow compare to NVIDIA that goes in full speed 2400kb/s.
NI are about 300-1000kb/s. That takes ages in my world...especially if we talk 12GB. No brainer I'm going for DVD.

OUCH - myself living in the UK along way from the BT exchange have a max speed of 1MB. Downloading 8.5 was painful at 21 hours for 2GB. X1 I may as well forget it!
So I'm not going to bother downloading X1 and just buy the update to the boxed version which I'm sure will be at a reasonable price for a few DVD's + manual?

Just to update: My internet appears to have been turned off! After downloading for near 24 hours last Thursday/Friday on Saturday afternoon the connection stopped responding and hasn't worked since. I think I might have overstepped some mark!! I'm in the process of trying to get somebody from my provider to communicate with me but it's tricky at work (oops, what am I doing here!?!). I said it was too much to download....... Grum.

If you don't want to dowload, you can also order the boxed version (no serial Number) along with the download version.
