I've probably pushed another key accidentally...
...because now my console and piano roll only appear at the bottom third of the screen when invoked and not full screen like I like to work. It's very tedious this morning to have to pull up the console and PRV to full height every time I need to work in them. Can someone tell me what dumbass thing I've done or what key push will get me back to where the PRV and Console will appear full screen when invoked?? Thanking you in advance:-)

Did you hit a screenset button Ol Pal? My cat does it to me all the time.

If you unlock your main screenset, adjust everything exactly how you want it, and the lock it again, it should stick.

I don't use screensets and don't have it even showing in my control bar. Is there a keyboard shortcut I might have hit? Plus...just because this happened too...somehow my midi track for EZD is on both my midi track and take lane 1...how it got there I can't imagine. But now my midi track is greyed out and I can't copy it and I can't delete the take lane without also deleting the midi track. How do I get rid of the take lane without losing my midi track??

You do without knowing it. The first screen that opens up when sonar starts up is always screenset number one. Sorry, I don't know which key you might have hit, but if you do what I said, you can fix it.

The number keys 1,2,3...,0 (not the numeric keypad but the top row of the main keys) are the shortcuts for Screensets 1-10. I have found that using Screensets is a much better alternative to opening and closing individual views. Maybe you should consider it.

Ol pal, go into keyboard shortcuts and disable 3 - 0. Or add Cntrl + to them. Screensets are great for those who use them, not so much for you and me. How do you "save" them? Total PITA on my system. Just sayin' I think D & B are the only "hot keys" I have that DON'T require a modifier. Again, just me... T

i occasionally bump the D key which min/max the multidock... but I've maybe hit a number accidentally and it resets it to the bottom of the tracks, so I hit C for console to bring it up but then has none of my saved tabs in it... at the time i didn't think of the screenset number shortcut edit...my bad, thanks for the correction on console view, I prob just selected it from the menu.

This type of thing is not an infrequent occurrence for me...and, of course, it's all my fault. I've got my little way of working...for instance, I like to work on one large screen at a time: Track View, PRV or Console. I never have multiple views open at once. I've either set up or know the limited number of shortcuts I constantly use. And that's about it. So, when I do screw up and accidentally hit some errant key that switches something on or changes something's appearance I'm temporarily screwed...until I either stop and take the time to look it up in the help guides or post another "yes, Virginia, I am a moron" thread here. Humiliating, yes, but still good for the soul:-)
