IDK - The Writings of Dylan Katen

This came about from reading my nephews Facebook page... I just took what he had written and pieced it together.

Terrific video!  The song is cool, but the mix doesn't quite work for me.  It's very narrow as far as the panning goes.  Most of the information is in a very narrow range in the center of the stereo spectrum.  The guitars could be panned much wider, say, 60 - 70 left and right, and the drums, too.  As with the other songs you've posted, the vocal could be louder if you value your lyrics.  Also, I didn't hear the bass guitar very well.  Spreading the guitars might give the bass its own space so that it would be more audible.  These are all easy fixes that could be made in minutes if you're in the mood.  I think all your songs are all very well performed, they are just lacking that magic mix that could put these songs over the top.

    All the best,
    Lynn

yes, this is a nice video - the quality of the video is excellent, however, the mix of the music needs some work.  everything is way too thin - sounds like you've high passed everything and boosted the top end too.  there's no low end at all and the drums and bass are so thin I feel like I'm listening on speakers with tweeters only.

song is good - get some low end in there!

The video is well not awesome but really good and the singing is all right but the main issues is your solo guitar that wanders of to much in wrong scales. IMHO eko
