Rick, this is a cool song with nice performances and a good arrangement.  It could easily be elevated to the next level by a few tweaks to the mix.  The bass is playing a good part, but it sometimes gets lost because the panning is so narrow.  There's so much going on in the center of the stereo spectrum that elements lose their definition.  The drums are playing good parts, but they could use a little EQ or light compression to pop out of the mix better.  Panning them wider would also help.  I think if you'd pan the guitars wider ( say, 65-70 left and right) the mix would open up and help those parts to be heard better.  It would also make the mix more 3 dimensional and less 2 dimensional.  These are easy and quick fixes, and for a song this good, I hope you consider them.  BTW, welcome to the forum!

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks Lynn.... I had to redo the bass line....I stripped everything down to the bare tracks except for the vocals and found that the bass line had some interferance in the line...added a another guitar under the accustic on the verses...  funny on the drums, i used channel tools and spread them out but took it off....  i'll follow up on your suggestions in a day or so, i think i spent too much time listening to it for one day. Thanks again !
