IE Amplitude distorting in sonar 6

Hi
I recently installed amplitude 3 into my DAW sonar 6 (x64) in vista (X64)
im getting a very distorted signal, doesnt happen when i run guitar strait through mixer.
seems to be something with amplitude and sonar settings...i messed around with the latency but no change..any thoughts? t
