I'm just amazed that after all the promotions, group buys and discounts over the past year there were still that many people in the world who didn't already have all these products!
I sure hope ST3 is coming along soon, Obi, because the current well is surely dry now.

IK Obi, what's the deal with IK Multimedia's ill attitude toward paying customers? I installed one of my group buy items, Sample Moog, and had trouble getting it authorized. I'm not sure what the problem was but I burned through three authorization requests before getting a successful authorization in place. I emailed tech support asking if my authorization count could be reset to four (maybe I'll never need that many, but who knows?). Their response was: you get five in all and that's it. We won't honor your request. Touch sh*t, sucker. OK they didn't actually use those words, but that's what I felt like the response was saying. I'll keep this in mind the next time IK has some new product I might be interested in.

I find that I burn at least 2 activations whenever I register something (and I've registered a lot). Even though they've tried to improve the authorization process, it still sucks! We all know the only people systems like this penalize are the paying customers. I can appreciate them trying to protect what's theirs, but it shouldn't take so much effort to use something you've paid for. Just my 2 cents.

It would be a wonderful gesture on your part Ik Obi if you would look into these two cases and reset their authorizations.....it would greatly benefit all your present and future customers. (I believe Peter & Squids at IK have done similar things).

I think they are on the next "batch" of things, the 2 black/white amps being the start... As for the i-apps , no time for them, but if it brings dev money into the pot, good. The market of pro audio just seems to get more rivalry as time goes on.. compare it to say 10 years ago with the vst's you could by then / now.. feels to me if the current "vogue" is to do dsp modeling on classic amps etc... not being funny , how many more rhodes / 808 / 909's does the world need

Just a note on the IK Authorization issue.
Today I installed and authorized Amplitude 3 free, Ampeg SVX, and Classic Studio Reverb.
For whatever reason SVX and CSR wanted to authorized individually (I cancelled out each time), Amplitude launched the "Authorization Manager" and I pasted the serial #'s of all three in and "Manager" did its thing for all three.
I then inserted Amplitude and SVX with no problems. CSR however brought up the old authorization window, so I went to the IK user area and got the authorization code that was stored there.
Is that where users have "gone wrong" and blown through several authorizations?
Just a thought...

But "Classic Amps"? You could NEVER have too many Plexi Marshalls or JMI AC-30's. And since at mixdown you just strap an 1176 across every channel... Well you get my drift.

How are you guys liking your new software?
Put SVX on a bass track today, one of the "Clean" presets, followed that with the LA-2A (default settings). AMAZING! The SVX cleaned up the fret buzz and added some "girth", The LA-2A, at 1db gain reduction, smoothed the performance out and made it "shine".

Logic has a very good compressor - like, 3rd party good. Most of the time, it's not only good enough, but it's actually hard to come up with any reason to use any other, though I often try and A/B it with others.
But the White 2A has a way with bass. That's one of the very few exceptions where the word magic really applies for me.
And yes, that SVX sure is impressive.

I saw that NI is incorporating their effects in Guitar Rig. Any chance the S3 plugs would be made to work with Amplitube?
I for one do not care for the direction that NI is going with this. Why do I have to run the Guitar rig player just to insert a compressor? Why can't their new effects just be stand alone VSTs? But what would be useful would be the ability to insert a VST into the signal chain in Amplitube or GR. I like Yellowtools approch where any of Independence's effects can be used as a VST on any track even if Independence is not being used.
