IK Multimedia Instruments Group Buy at esoundz!

Hey everyone!  I did a quick search here and didn't see anything mentioning the current group buy going on at esoundz.com.  (My apologies if this is listed elsewhere.)

You can currently buy any of the five IK Multimedia workstations (SampleTank, Sonik Synth, Miroslav Philharmonik, SampleMoog or SampleTron) for $99 as part of their Hot Buy for the month.  The good folks at esoundz are running a group buy where they're throwing in a choice of one add-on library for every 100 people who join between now and the end of May.  We've already reached the first 100 and we're almost halfway to 200, so chances are great we can reach at least two if not three or four free libraries!  Details are here:

http://www.esoundz.com/news1.php?nbr=5999

Also, if any of you got in on the $15 no-brainer deal from audioMIDI.com for Miroslav CE last month, they've got a deal for you too!  If you purchase the full version of Miroslav from them and email them proof of your purchase of Miroslav CE, they'll add $15 in epointz to your account!  (epointz is their version of a bonus program - kind of like IK's Jampoints.  You earn points for each purchase from them by referring an esoundz member who may have been helpful to you - you earn 5 epointz and the person you refer earns 5 epointz.  You can use these epointz to purchase sounds at their website.)

Hope this is helpful...and if you're looking for someone to refer at checkout, feel free to use me (areemts1130)!

If you're part of the GB - best of luck with it!  But .... I am not sure there are too many fish left in the pond.

IK ran a GB last year where you bought one VI and ultimately got the other 4 free + a bonus (I think) for less than $200.

SR also had a GB that went 8 for 1 on Expansion Packs - I bought in twice for 16.  That eliminates 2/3rds of the bonus list.

Many here were involved with those GBs.  Squids made mention that he may enhance the current GB for folks in my position - but nothing to date.

Again, good luck -- thought I would leave an explanation if this thread ends up on the quiet side.

I'm in a similar boat as you are bird735.....I also got in on that 8 for 1 GB and got in on it 2x. I don't have Miroslav (just the CE version), and would like the full version.....

I also have 42 jam points from IK which I really can't use unless I buy something at the full price from IK directly .

Audiomidi is also having this deal for $79.99....

So, I'm wondering if there's really any library worth the extra $20 in getting Miro from esoundz as I can't use my jam points nor my epointz...

It's still a good deal for $99 as I do use SampleTank & Sonik Synth regulary....and Miro is much better than GPO (IMHO).

Thanks for the good vibes.  Yeah, I'm aware of the past group buys they've done, there isn't a lot at the moment for those who already have them all, and things have been a little on quiet compared to past esoundz group buys.  But I'll plug for it anyway because I want more free sounds!   There are people out there who may not have had the cash for the five for one deal they had last year (like me!), people looking to add something different to the Expansion Packs they picked up in the other group buy (like me!), or people who are just starting out and don't have any IK products yet.  If you got in on the last group buys, I hope you're enjoying your sounds.  If you missed out on those past deals, then here's your chance!

Yeah, there's the full version for large money (and worth it) and they now have a free version too with a few amps, cabs and stomps that you can add to by buying more. So yes, you read it right, there's an "Amplitube3.5 Free" but it's not the full version which is still available. Both versions are well worth what you pay for them.

I bought Miroslav CE at no brainer price (I love it!)......I was too late to get the $79 upgrade to the full Miroslav....here's my question....I was in the Sampletank Group Buy with Esounz (I think it was 9+1), and soundwise I got everything I wanted. Is it worth $99 to buy the full Miroslav and hope I get something I'll like for the bonus pack?
    Thanks

Why not?  If you would have paid $79 for the Miro upgrade alone, $99 plus
at least 2 additional tank titles (it's at 192 now) seems like a good deal.  One of the bonus titles is the MP outtakes only available through this GB - nice addition to the full version.

That Amplitube gimmick is a stroke of marketing genius! You get a basic but usable product for free, but with a convenient and inexpensive upgrade path built in. I hope this sales model catches on.

I agree, I may have to spend some of my Jampoints and add a little to it...which will probably get me on a slippery slope to get the full Amplitube 3...sneaky, sneaky, sneaky!

Back on the esoundz group buy, we're up to 192, so we'll hit the second bonus level any day now.  Squids mentioned that he will be adding a special "Miroslav outtakes" library to the list of bonus choices next week that will only be available through this group buy and won't be available for retail.  So if you're into orchestral music and don't have Miroslav yet, you can get it for $99 and add some exclusive extra sounds on top of that for free!  Doesn't get much better than that!

By the way, even if you're not going to jump on this group buy, you may still want to check out esoundz periodically over the next few days, they're running a Cinco de Mayo sale from today through the weekend where they're selecting some of their products for short (less than 24 hours) sales.  Info is here:

For someone who's looking to get ALL of 5 of IK's virtual instruments, you can get it for $199 HERE.

With some of these good deals going on, what really puzzled me was this Sonik Synth Crossgrade pricing going for $229. Both of these deals are at MF. Really bizzare.

Yeah Gaff, I want Miroslav as well (I have the Miro CE)......it's a tough decision whether to pay the extra $100 and get it all or to stick with just the one I want.
Aren't there are 2 bonus packs with the GB you should be getting? I believe Squids from Esoundz is putting together a seperate Miroslav pack as a bonus.....may want to check the details at KVR.

Hey folks, by way of a bump here the GB is over 200 now so it's two freebies for each VI purchased. I tend to agree with folks above who speculate on how tapped-out the market already is for these things... but I wasn't awake enough to pick up on the 8 for 1 thing or whatever it was, or the other one either, so I jumped in for Sonik Synth 2 and am looking forward to my two free tankups anyway. If anyone else is around and doesn't have every sound in the world ever, the deal could still get better if it hits 300 by the end of May.

Yep, we hit 200 on the group buy yesterday, so everyone who buys one of the five IK sample workstations from esoundz gets 2 bonus libraries for free.  Things have picked up a bit lately so I think we're a good bet to get to 300 and maybe even 400 if we spread the word enough (or keep bugging people enough!).  And here's what Squids wrote on the KVR thread about the bonus Miroslav library:

"Note: Next week we will be including a special "Miroslav Outtakes" library in the list of redeem products so if you would like to choose this library simply wait to redeem one of your codes until it is announced as ready. This library will only be available in this group buy and not available for purchase separately."

So a tip if you're new to esoundz group buys, you don't have to download your libraries right away (no time limit like IK has from their website).  You can purchase now and wait until the group buy is finished so you can see what all of your options are before selecting yours.  You never know, Squids may have something else up his sleeve for later!  (I wish I had known this with the expansion tank group buy last year.  I was originally only going to go in one time, so I used my freebie on the Studiophonik bass library.  But then the deal got to be so good that I decided to go in a second time and ended up picking up the Bass Xpansion tank, so it ended up being a redundant choice.  If I had the whole thing to do over again I would have gotten one of the Latin loop packs.)  Of course, if you just can't wait you can get your bonuses right away too!  (Although we reached 200 late enough yesterday that I think they said in one of the posts that the second bonus link won't be up on your esoundz account until Monday.)

By the way, thank you Mesh for the epointz!  Did you pick up something from the Cinco de Mayo sale?

I toally agree Gaff, Miroslav is a really good sounding synth and quite realistic. With minimal tweaks, it sits well within a mix. I already have Sonik Synth2, Miro CE, & the free ST with over 17+ Gb of sounds.....so, my primary choice would be to get the Workstation 2 deal and if that didn't work out, I'll prolly get in on this GB.
In the Workstation deal I'll get 4 full versions of these synths I don't have + 28Gb's of sounds (I may already have 1/2 or more of these sounds). In this group buy, I'll only get 1 synth + 2 bonus libraries.....decisions....decisions...decisions....lol.

Areemts: You're most welcome!! I remembered you mentioning to refer you and we both get epoints!! So, this really is a good thing!!! I got the Neil Peart Kit & downloading (huge files) as I type.
I'll keep refering you on future buys from esoundz hopefully you can also do the same.

Mesh: I think getting the full Miroslav would be a good choice....I normally don't get knocked out by software, but Miroslav just sounds so beautiful...I really feel like I'm in the hall with the musicians (makes me wanna take a trip to Vienna, lol) ...whoever recorded the samples did a great job....

Exactly! First time I tried Miroslav I was blown away! I wrote a review on it before I worked for IK that explains how he recorded it a bit...

(Mesh is also my esoundz name).

Sounds like a deal to me!

Hey everyone, just a quick note to let you know that you can save even more on this group buy, but you'll have to act quickly!  As part of their Cinco de Mayo sale esoundz has a coupon code to save $15 off just about anything on the site, and it has been confirmed that it does work with the hot buy choices.  So now you can get any of the five instruments for just $84!  This is great news for those of you who bought the audioMIDI no-brainer Miroslav CE deal, now you can upgrade to the full Miro and not lose that $15 you already spent!  Or if you wanted to pick up more than one instrument, do two separate purchases and use the code on both to get $30 off (someone at KVR did that and it worked!).  But the sale ends today!

Information is on page 5 or 6 here http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=317849 , I believe the code was CINCO15, but I can't remember for sure and right now I can't get on KVR at work.

Edit: - I just double-checked and the promo code is indeed CINCO15.

Also, at Esoundz in the FREE SOUNDS section, there's a bunch of loops & construction kits (including a 400MB artist taster pak for Stylus/RMX and Led Zep drummer tracks) . Some of these will be there only for a limited time.....

Just a quick bump back to the top of the page.  We're sitting at 246 right now, so it looks like a good bet that we'll get to at least 300 and three free libraries from esoundz!  But we'll really need to pick up the pace if we want to get to 400 and a fourth library.  Go go go!

Also, if you haven't been following the thread at KVR, several members have been adding some mini-tutorials on how to use Sampletank more creatively.  If you're a Sampletank pro it's probably old news, but if you're someone like me - a guitar player who mostly just loads sounds as they are and plays them - they're very helpful.  The tutorials start here:

    http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=314976&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=420

There's also a five-page sticky with tips specific to Miroslav here:

    Happy Friday!
