IK Multimedia is at it again this time their workstations are on sale!

  Get all 5 for $200. They keep finding ways to make me give them my money.     This is really a fantastic verb (my goto) and I just got it recently on that $49 deal. You can use it on everything. However, it's 32bit....but, I think IK's planning on getting the 64bit version out.

    Ha Ha!  I think I got the ST2XL with all of the instruments at MF for 149.00 about a year ago. The cool thing is that it was like the keys to the IK kingdom. TRax up to deluxe with the Black/White in a great group buy for 99.
    Their stuff is very good and things like Pro Channel are creating competition that gives us good stuff at fair prices. 
     
    Not like gas /petrol at all!

    Yup, I got the whole kit 'n kaboodle last year (or was it the year before?) in a group buy. 99 bucks for ST2.5 and all the add-on libraries (including Sonik Synth, and yes there are some goodies in that one). I added Miroslav for, IIRC, $149 on sale. That's quite a collection of surprisingly useful sounds for a total of $248, and probably my smartest software purchase overall in terms of bang:buck ratio.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Thanks for the kind words everyone! Sonik Synth 2 is my favorite of all of the IK workstations too, followed (Very closely and was hard to pick which is my fav) by Miroslav Philharmonik. At $149 for those that already own an IK product, its a great deal on quality bread and butter sounds for any style of music you'd want to make.

    I got all 5 on a group buy from Audiomidi.com. I like the sound of the synths but they are haphazzard in that finding the sounds you want from Sonik, Sampletron  and Sample moog is a chore. I wish they were divided into the synth they were sampled from. It's a pain going through each sound till you find what you want.

    Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

    It is 32bit only. There is an update coming soon for about a year now.

    You can always save the sounds you like as your own preset or combi and we are hard at work on the next generation of SampleTank. In fact we just posted a video on our Facebook of Cedric (talented IK employee) covering a Tears for Fears song with a Martin Guitar we are sampling for SampleTank 3!

    This video was made by DJ Kev West or Xabiton here on the sonar forums. He is an IK fan and this is his personal video on his YouTube account. It is not an IK made video, but still shows how useful even our FREE products can be.

    Obi, I get the sense that IK is putting the bulk of its resources into IOS apps. Tell the folks back at the office they should be sure to give the PC offerings some attention and some reassurance to those of us with PC's that you are sticking with us. The reviews I read on the IK site about IOS apps were horrible. Not a great feeling being generated by IK.

    Well, I for one am excited about the prospect of replacing a roomful of gear with a studio that fits into shirtpocket-sized device! Only a few questions remain unanswered...

    Should I get ARC to correct my room for when I'm monitoring playback out of my iPhone? 


    Do I need two iPhones in order to have a headphone cue mix?

    Will my iPhone support zero-latency monitoring?

    How many phantom-powered microphones will my iPhone support?

    Will I still need a subwoofer, or can I use an iPad for that?

    Do I need iTunes in order to transfer tracks to my computer, or can I just burn CDs directly from my iPhone?





    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
