IK iRig Keys Pro locking up SONAR

I had a frustrating day today trying to figure out why SONAR Platinum Newburyport kept hanging on the splash screen.  After spending too much time rebooting, rolling back to Manchester, deleting SONAR's settings files, etc. without luck, I unplugged my relatively new IK iRig Keys Pro and SONAR loaded like nothing was ever wrong.  
 
The iRig uses the built-in Windows MIDI drivers so there is nothing to update there and my experience with other keyboards is that I can leave them plugged in for months without issues so this is all surprising.  SONAR worked fine last night with the exact same setup and then today suddenly not.
 
Thoughts?  Anyone have experience with iRig keyboards and SONAR?  Any magic settings that I should tweak?  Should I send back the iRig while I'm still in the return window and stick with keyboards that I know are reliable or should I write it off as a fluke?
