Can someone please confirm that we can or cannot use our Jampoints with the 30% discount?

I would like the Black or White, but already have a boatload of jampoints waiting for use.  Nothing else left to buy for now.

So, I've got 40 jam points.  Does that mean that now I have 80 jam points and I could use 50 of them and pay $50 and get either of the black or white compressors??

    Hi,

Just purchased both Black and White for $139.99. You can't use both Jam points with the 15YEAR discount - one or the other not both. You get double jam points for the purchase based on retail price - $99 x 8% x 2 = $15.84. In my case I got this for each unit or $31.68 jam points. My old balance 64 points was added so now I have $100 - the difference is due to already getting extra points for owing other IK products. Simple huh??

    Ol Pal,

Your JamPoints will be doubled for any new purchase - i.e., if you buy a comp for $100, you'll get 16 Jam Points instead of the usual 8.

No change to your current balance, though. You're still at 40. So you could get the black or white for 60$ - still a pretty good deal. And you'd get 16 Jam Points as a reward which could be used on subsequent purchases.

Cecelius - As far as I know, Jam Points cannot be combined w/ other promotions.

Am I spending way too much time on IK's web site? You bet I am.

I'm afraid you've only confused me even further there gibsongs...but I'm happy ya got a deal.  Whatever it was.  I just want to know if I can use my jam points to purchase, if I automatically have double my existing jam points, and can I only use jam points for 1/2 the purchase price?

    No they aren't.

They're just not available for the 2 for 1 "buy one pick one of equal value for free" promo. But you can still get the 15% (or 30% this week) discount no problem.

OK... I looked at this page, which was linked to twice from the 30% coupon email, specifically mentions the 15% off in the context of GB, and explicitly excludes the single:
      http://www.ikmultimedia.com/Main.html?15/groupbuy.php&products

So... sounds like the singles are excluded from the GB, but you can still buy them outside of the GB for 30% off?

It's a head scratcher. But I'll take your word for it...

I tried putting the WHITE in the shopping cart as a single and applying the coupon code and it did indeed take 30% off.

I bought both the Black and the White one 2 weeks ago, as well as the Pultec using the promo code in each case and got 15% off each time.

You get the discount BUT you don't qualify for the Group Buy.

In other words: The promo code is always valid, but not every purchase qualifies for the group buy (the Singles, for example.)

What!? Please elaborate? What do you mean by double jam points? I have 80 jam points. Does this mean I now have 160 to use?

it started on the 8th .. why did I get the email today on the 11th ..
not impressed.. if your gonna offer customers that  offer.. don't cut off 2-3 days!!

I'd like the cart to be far better.. as you never know about tax etc.. right till the end.. I pay in UK £... NOT euro's.. that makes it an annoyance also.. as you never know till the end how much it ACTUALLY is

same again with jam points.. why do I have to convert them to a voucher.. the shop should sort that out and max it out e.g. up to 50% ? IRC

also that 50% I can apply to the total WITH the tax ? or pre that ?

some companies I deal with, the buying process is FAR easier while others over complicate it (IK being 1 of them)

Starise - I don't see it on the web site, and they've been strangely quiet about this particular offer - no big announcement on FB either. On the other hand, AudioMidi announced 30% off on all IK products - which is basically the same as using the promo code when buying directly from IK.

Seems that not everyone on their mailing list received the e-mail at the same time or just yet - I know this happens w/ many other companies, hence the reason I posted it here for all you guys to be advised as soon as possible.

My own shopping experience w/ them as been rather pleasant, but I guess that your location plays a big part into that, as Fog's experience seems to indicate.

Isn't the buy one get one valid for every purchase of qualifying product?

I might be able to tell you later today - I'm most likely getting the CSR this pm, just a matter of testing it in Logic and seeing if everything is ok.

Not sure what I'd grab as a freebie though. I could get Sampletank XL - but I have a very good sampler in Logic, and though ST is nice, I find navigating through the patches in the tiny screen a bit unpleasant. Or T-RackS standard - but then again, I got the modules I really wanted as singles.

ST3 is "right around the corner"... i.e., Real Soon Now. I'm sure the UI will be overhauled, since the Tiny Text Syndrome has been complained about for years. Also, major update to content to compete with the mega-sample products out there in the market these days... kontakt lib, halion 4, independence, etc. etc. If you could get ST for free my guess is you'd get a nice u[grade path to ST3, if that interests you...

I guess I could always put it in my cart and at the end if the math isn't right I'll cancel the order.

I like T-racks. I had one of the first versions of it way back in the win98 32 bit days, course I had no idea how to use it then. Playing with it made stuff sound better though. Not sure how I pulled that off.

What I want to do now is load all of the guitar amps from the Custom shop.

My own shopping experience w/ them as been rather pleasant, but I guess that your location plays a big part into that, as Fog's experience seems to indicate.

you buy in USD $ , and I'm sure that supported ? so you know exactly how much are things are.. If a company is going to sell in the UK then quote £.. NI do the something with euro's, it's normally less in euros but still .

IK are "ok" as a company so far for me, they got back in touch with me support wise etc.

    the negatives
that they want money to transfer a license + they want money for you to download soundbanks after 30 days and their time limited.

compared to others that's really quite minor on the scale of things.
the problem is , apart from the 2 amps for singles.. thats all I want from them now , I think there are others in the same boat, so offers in reality mean nothing.

it would have been good if they offered both the black/white things as a bundle for those who had the majority of their other products.. e.g. $20 / £10 off or something. I bet loads have more than 1 product due to group buys etc.
