Fleer
Gotta get that Cosmos, Mesh.
On the other hand, starting to understand Larry's criticism regarding IK.
Heck, I tried to install the whole T-RackS on a new computer with their Authorization Manager. Some got formally authorized, as the number of available authorizations decreased by one, others didn't, but nothing actually works except in demo mode. Guess I'll open a support ticket.
Larry, man, you warned me.

Edit: funnily they work standalone, not in my daw

Fleer my man, have you checked in you IK account for more Auths. to use in Sonar? (in the past, they usually gave about 2 or 3). I have the T-Racks Deluxe as well as individual plugs, and never had any issues with the Authorisation process.
Either way, IK will give you more if needed.

PS.
Cosmos is a good one (adds some mojo to the mix)......I also really like Magnetic II on drums. Although I'm trying to sell my Nomad Factory bundle, I really should spend more time with the other 49 plugs.

Cheers, my Lord of Mesh. Yeah, I checked for more auths but that wasn't the problem, as the standalone version is working alright.
The actual problem was GarageBand apparently. Reason for using GarageBand is this tiny little MacBook I'm now using, tiny indeed, but also severely limited processor-wise. It's a so-called CoreM (even without a fan) and that's OK for walking, not for running or jumping.
So that's why I thought GarageBand would be best.
In the meantime, I have to say, IK Support already responded. That's fast, within 30 mins.
Yet the response is a workaround, as the problem is subsistent ever since GB 10 was released more than a year ago.

Edit: gotta get me some Cosmos

Mesh, I haven't made friends with Supercharger either. Tried a few time but no aha moment. I just grab Audio Damage Roughrider. I bet you would love it. Always sounds good even if you push it too hard. It's a freebie. It's very good and I use it a lot.

It's Bass, not Bass.

Thanks BD, I don't have AD's Roughrider(yet).

My problem is when having too many of these similar plugins (i.e. compressors), I don't know which to choose from...(more like a bit lazy in patiently testing each one out).
I'm a creature of habit and once I find a few "good ones" that produce good results, I tend to go with those...... easy, quick gratification, and instant mojo's  (unless it really doesn't fit well in the track).

I'm quite fond of Slate stuff, particularly the new VMR framework and FG-401.

That's why I think you would like it. I go to it when I have a bunch of other stuff around cuz I've used it and it always sounds good.
