    Indeed. I've never been through a disaster (touch wood). If that had happened here it is very likely I'd be dead due to my living situation and the fact I just can't up and go very easily. I feel terrible for those people. They seem to be trucking through it though. Takes a lot of heart.

    Not so insane, but more personal pictures from central Jersey:

    Walked out the back door on Tuesday and saw this in the (weed) garden next to my deck:

    Didn't know that was even possible.

    My power came back at ~4:00AM this morning, though my father across town was still out (we kidnapped him from out of bed Tuesday morning to stay here). Can't complain, given the situation on the coast and elsewhere.
