Movie score material to be sure.
Spy movie. On a train to Istanbul. It's raining, definitely raining. Black BMW 733 pacing train on road next to track. The driver has spotted you.
At the moment, you can just look at each other, but the situation is going to get intense really quick.
I like this. Good choice of sound textures to create tension, and paint a picture.

Mesh has asked me to do a tutorial on the KORG nanoKONTROL specificaly using the knobs to control VST parameters.  I'm thinking of doing it in this thread interactively with all of you how this song was made and how the nanoKONTROL was used to control the VSTs like Rapture, Dimension, Absynth, Battery 3, FM8 and alike...

This could benefit alot of people and be fun, if only he would get back to me...

    Hi Shawn,
I listened to Inspire for the 3rd time & still think it's a good soundtrack for a movie.....(I can't remeber the earlier mix, but this was done well).

Thanks for offering to help out with Nanokontrol. To be honest, I've only been able to use the transport controls and the faders/knobs for mixing. I'm not sure if I've set it up properly as sometimes, it doesn't function (doesn't respond) at all within Sonar and haven't used it in quite sometime. I'd like to start from scratch to insure I'm doing things correctly and would really like to use it to control my VST's.

first of all mesh, plug in your nannoKONTROL and your PC should acknowldge that then insert your VST however you want. Record some stuff into the vst track so we have something to play with that runs for a couple minutes, maybe a measure or two looped. Then while playing your project open the VST window and find a setting you want to control with the nano.  Look around for a midi LEARN button. click the control you want, then the learn button then the control again.   IMPORTANT! set the midi input of the VST midi track to the nano and set the nano to SCENE 2. Now, when you  twist the knob on the nano it should control the VST setting. Let me know how it goes!

nothing like a coffee shop studio to get the creative juices flowing.   Neat song Sawn.

I imagined you a bit older, but after seeing the above picture of you mixing the song, I am even more impressed.  There's not many 14 month old people who can mix like that!

I don't know if you're mixing as you're going along or just adding parts at this point, but the composition is EXCELLENT!!! The mixing needs to accomplish a more 3 dimensional feel. Give each instrument it's own sonic space and this is certainly a winner. (sonic is just a buzz word for EQ an FX).
