Idyia

Hi Peeps,

Here I am again... I'm not used to having so many posts here. Being out of work is kind of helping with my "creativity."

This particular creation is all guitar.

It is another ambient drone, although I managed to cut this down from eleven minutes to "just" six minutes.

One track is a bass guitar riff passed through Guitar Rig and Adaptiverb.

Another track is guitar randomly played, in key, and passed through Guitar Rig and Adaptiverb again.

Adaptiverb basically "flattens" out the guitar plucks, if you like, when set to 100% wet.

There is then the obligatory guitar noodling track which is also effected by Guitar Rig but this time I send a signal to an Adaptiverb instance which I placed on its own bus.

Thanks again for for patience and support

cheers

andy

Well, if I didn't know this was all guitar I certainly wouldn't know that it's all guitar.

It seems like Adaptiverb does some really cool stuff.  And if that's just two drone tracks, one bass and one guitar, then it really thickens the tracks up nicely too.   And the "normal" guitar noodling over top works great IMO, just enough to set the mood without distracting from the layers underneath.

    Hi Steve,

Apologies for missing your comment dood... I thought this post was gracefully moving onto page two of the Songs forum

Yeah, you really must give Adaptiverb a try, especially if you fancy doing something similar, which I thing would be great to be honest... You could impart your Yes like prog style quite nicely into something like this, I'm sure

Mind you, since the offer finished on this effect, it's a it pricey...

    cheers

and thanks for listening to my tune

It all sounds real nice. I like the guitar track in there. It kept my attention like no other ambient track has.
