If Y@u Think I'm G@@d

I was driving home from a very bizarre evening in outlandish proportions and this haunting little riff was crying in my head all night.   I thought it was born to be a trance like type song with not a lot of corner turning....just a kind of dance song.
Even though I'm too old to dance like this i still enjoy the thought of it so i blew the dust off my guitars and gave it a whirl.  I'm just wondering if the guitar riff is in there enough ;P

Again, chances are it might not be your cuppa...but it's all i've got tonight.
Hopefully it will also be re-sung by my female vocalist friend upstate.

Very catchy song, one that is going to be stuck in my head for some time i guess. (a good thing) Lyrics were super too.
The ending was great also.

I'm happy you enjoyed this one.  It was a lot of fun to be so retro....tremelo and all.   I'm trying to get a female because of this small collection of trip-hoppy, lounge type songs that are all written from a female perspective...(kinda, sorta).

This feels familiar, yet somehow different for you. I wouldn't use another vocalist, you have a very distinctive "and cool" style with your vocals.

Ahhhhhh, man......i work all hours to clean up my rampant dirt and you think i should make it dirtier!!! LOL......i do love Nick Cave.  It is very much along those lines as far as the tone i wanted.  I'm glad you liked and i love your ideas.  Thank you!

There is a 60s spy-movie flavor that sets off with the right amount of tension against the vocals.

Vox could be recorded a bit less hot, but I guess it wouldn't be Reckless Gents with that much concern! ;)

The vocals aren't recorded hot i just have them through some loud processing.  I'm sad to see that my work is written off as sloppy just because it's 'reckless'.
I'll have to dig in even harder.

I love this. Great guitar riff and overall vibe.

I like the breakdown and the way the guitar riff is played on a vibe-sounding thingy.

As usual Rick, very creative. I've always been amazed at how you can take so many 'odd' little things and make them sound like they were 'meant for each other'. Very catchy little tune. You've managed to avoid the very repetitive/catchy little guitar/bass riffs becoming monotonous. Not easy to do with such riffs as these. And yes, I can hear a female vocalist doing this tune, but you have a fine voice for it yourself. Don't sell yourself short. As I've said before, you have a great voice, and it's perfectly suited for this rather unique, totally Reckless Gents song.

I accidentally played it on low fi and time-warped back to the '60s.  Then your chilling vox caught me in the particle accelerator.

Excellent heart and soul; has that hilarious scratchy-vox-scratchy quality I've learned to love and expect from you over the years (at times like grating nails on the chalk board) ...

... while all the other planets dutifully align themselves like instruments from the omega quadrant ('60s startrek)

The outro is utterly awesome.

The femme may love her opportunity to get too lushy and smoothy for this, so I'll look forward to her dementia as she soars with your excellent vision.

Man oh man. I really like the intro. That Peter Gunn guitar is so cool.

Sorry to say this but the vocals seem pitchy (and I'm the king of pitchy vocals for sure). But maybe it's just me or that is what you were going for?

Before the vocals came in, this really reminded me of She Wants Revenge, check out their music if you're not familiar with them. Same sort of darkness!
