Ik CSR Reverb?
Can I set up my IK CSR Reverb to open with a pleasant preset? Whenever I add an instance while listening to playback it loads with the "LOAD" command at the settings do not produce flattering sounds. It's very distracting. I'd like to load the CSR and either have it use a preset I like or at least load with nothing in the mix. I hope I'm missing something... does anyone have any tips? Thanks. best regards, mike

Can you save FX chains? Load CSR with your preset or whatever settings you choose and save the FX chain and each time youload the chain the preset should be there waiting for you.

I wiped X1 off my system I'm back to v8.5 with my favorite VSTs again! Is there any way to store a state within the actual CSR? thanks, mike

Can't it be saved in the standard plug-in menu which appear at the top of all plug-ins in Sonar? I know it won't load by default, but at least you wouldn't have to navigate through sub-menus in the actual plug-n. This might be a nice addition to Sonar - the ability to create/modify plug-ins default settings.

With reverbs on a send bus I save a track template with the sends in place which recalls the bus structure with my favourite, Hall, Plate, Room etc settings. Then if I'm using a reverb type like say 'Hall' I'll just load in the Track template which sets up the bus structure with the 'verb in place c/w a nice preset starting point all setup and ready to roll. That's how we setup FX chains in Sonar pre X1... It's a flexible system... Does that work with CSR?

Yes, but I am speaking about the unthinkable. Here's the scenario; I'm listening to a mix and I decide "oh I want a little bit of CSR plate right here and I pop it while SONAR is still playing. Everything works great except the fact that each time I do it, for a few seconds, I have to listen to the whacky reverb sound until I dial up a setting. I can live with it but I hoped I was missing something simple. On most of my VSTs I can load them while laying and they are fairly neutral in sound which makes it more relaxing to make the first adjustment. best regards, mike

Make a default presets and then just save this as the default in the C:\Program Files (x86)\IK Multimedia\CSR\Presets section in the folder. That should work.

Obi, would you know by any chance if there's anything planned for CSR? It's somewhat lower on my priority list after demo'ing mostly due to the fact that it hasn't really been updated in a while and I thought maybe the focus had shifted to other products. Or is it maybe just because it just works and there isn't really anything to improve? I almost went for it last week during the 30% sale, but, I wasn't too sure it'd be a wise "investment".

As for updates it just works and there isn't really anything to improve, but we do have a 64 bit update coming down the road.
