I'm Rebuilding MY PC

I am currently in the process of trying to rebuild my computer and would like to know what sort of parts would I need for an old Gateway 352 that runs on Windows 95. I know I need to change my operating system to XP if I plan on using Sonar, but what else. Do I need a good soundcard or audio interface since I have a good analog mixer. I've been reading articles on how an audio interface can in some cases be better than a soundcard so I wanted to see with some of you guys thought. I want to PC to be fast I can get it, but I don't wanna spend a grand. Maybe half that price if that's feasable. Appreciate the help.

By the time you upgrade a win95 computer to minimum specs you'll spend more money than buying a new computer.

In addition, you are likely to have more technical problems and frustrations.
