I'm a hipster now!
A dear friend sent me an Amazon card for Christmas. Because one of the first things that comes to mind when I hear the word "Christmas" is Elvis' Christmas album, and because the King doesn't sound quite right to me on CD, I figured it would be a good idea to find a vinyl copy of the album - same version/sleeve as the one my parents owned...  I'd been toying with the idea of finding a bunch of used Elvis vinyls for a while, including the Christmas record, so I figured this was something symbolic which my friend would get - instead of me "wasting" my gift card on a bunch of books that no one around here cares about but me anyway. Imported from Spain as it turned out, I received it yesterday. One of my favorite records of all time - I listen to it all year round, now proudly standing on display in my studio. So call me hipster. (Though I'm only a hipster when it comes to Elvis). Actually, I'm even worst than hipsters. I mean...  (Though this is part of a "project" I have).

I'm not an Elvis fan but I can relate. I have a fairly diverse collection of vinyl.
I also have some of the old 8-track tapes and still have a player too. Although I must admit, I would need to put a new drive belt in it to get it back to working.

I was a hipster before being a hipster was hip.  Gotta love those vinyl disks... Now, all you need to do is convert them to CD and then to MP3 so you can carry Elvis music with you.  By the way... that hat is nice and warm.... ^^^^^^ although it's probably not all that hip.
