I'm finally happy with a mix

"The Test 2.0" on my reverb site... www.reverbnation.com/enemyofearth It's so crystal clear and i rewrote the entire chorus to make it catchy. I even uploaded a WIP that i'm still writing.. If you feel like it, give em a listen...

    This sounds pretty good.

The hihats in the beginning are a bit too bright for my taste.

Vocals sound too soft for this genre, and the feeling there should be more things around the vocal space then there are

I love this song and mix.  It's very powerful and smooth at the same time.  Your voice isn't typical for this kind of song usually, but there are some bands out there that you remind me of (Tool).  Keep up the good work.

    All the best,

This sounds terrific. I like that the vocals aren't necessarily expected for this style, they're not too abrasive IMHO. Sounds polished for sure.

Love this. Not sure what other mean about the vox not being typical for the genre... they sure are (bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots and the aforementioned Tool). I think some folks need to expand their horizons a little . Mix is pretty good. Needs a bit more energy in the drum kit mid-bottom end IMO (IE the toms more than the kick).

I'm not really into this genre and style of music at all to be honest, but the mix sounded very good on my speakers. people into this genre will find lots to like here i reckon.

Good mix!  Vox may be a tad low.

Wow, thanks guys and gals. I usually cringe as i first read posts about my songs, expecting the worst. But not this time. Besides a few personal preferences, it seems to have passed QC. I knew it too. When I first listened back to the ozone 3 mastering, whoa!!! It was the guitar that was failing me this whole time. It was a huge EQ fail. but now....redemption. that also means i have to re-record 8 songs in this format. will it be worth it? hell yeah, its winter. What else can we do? Thanks

Oh, about my voice....A lot of people tell me my vocal structures and voicing are "unique" or "weird, but good." This is just my attempt to stand out from the rest. I do have a bunch of Tool influence, but I'm trying to change the sound of rock from its current "Breaking Ben " sound...They all sound the same now, especially with the compression war...I'm not going to strap on fake boobies and makeup for stage show, but i will do something different in the music to tell us apart.

Sounds very good through my headphones, nice mix. I've no idea whether your vocals are typical of the genre or not, but I like 'em.

Cool tune you kinda sound like Trent Reznor ...not a fan of the room sound on the drums it didn`t sound cohesive with the great sound on the guitars. I think if you got a better drum room sound you`d fill that space around the vocals that Jamesyoyo was talkin about.

Listening on my headphones ... the guitars sounded a bit too chunky to me in the beginning, but it could be my headphones.

All in all it was a good mix and a good song.

Not my normal style, but it sounds well done.  Great performances and mix!
