I'm growing a beard....
....and I'm going for the full on mountain man/grizzly adams look.....but it's at that inbetween stage where I look more like George Michael than Grizzly Adams. Any tips for faster growth before I give in and shave it off?

Well you know what they say about playing with yourself... if you are flexible enough maybe it will work on your face too. ;-)

Ah the "Happy Cobra". The most sought after yoga position of all time yet the hardest to achieve. But seriously the only thing you can really do is just wait it out and keep the ends trimmed. I SUCK at growing beards but after two years of isolation and keeping it trimmed I finally have a full manly face lawn.

When you look in the mirror you can tell yourself, "I look more like a monkey every day." I probably won't make it grow faster, but it might help keep you going.

The ladies are very polarized about 'em. They either love them or hate them! Now, in your particular situation, I guess you'll have to decide to keep the current Mrs Daryl1968 or the beard, eh?

Hi, Just shaved mine! I did half and half for Halloween ... so that half the mustache and beard were missing on opposite sides! Had lots of fun with people looking at it.
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

I just spotted Sean Connery coming out of church. He smiled at me, winked, and said "Jesus saves." "Sorry Sean" I retorted, "But I think you'll find he quite clearly had a beard."

Staff at Stoke Mandeville hospital have banned Santa Claus from the childrens ward this year... Letting a man in with white hair and a full sack was considered quite inappropriate.

The only advice I have is that if you actually look even remotely similar to George Michael, stay in the house and away from 'park restrooms.' You just might end up being incarcerated and that's not sexy no matter how ya slice it. In prison you run the risk of causing gang wars. Especially walking around yelling "KITTEN POWER!" Just trust me on this, M'kay? Mike

Kinda wish I had the pictures of this: A house band I played in (6 members) did a special ZZ Top mini set.... the other guitar player, the piano player and the female singer would leave the stage. Both myself and the bass player would don fake beards made from commercial grade floor mops dyed brown. A few strands tied together up over our heads...add a hat & sun glasses and we were ready for Sharp Dressed Man and a few other ZZ songs. The people loved it. The biggest problem was those mops were heavy and the strands often got tangles in the strings...... but we had a blast. It was worth it.

I think I have an old VHS tape that was made of the band around here somewhere.....I would have to look for it and see if it still plays and if that ZZ set was in it.
