I'm looking for a special EQ

And a hamburger.......I figure that at least you can help me with the first one. The particular EQ I'm after I remember someone on the software thread posted about this, but I can't seem to relocate it again. It has the ability to take two or more tracks and superimpose the EQ  curves so a person can compare two different tracks and see if they are fighting one another EQ wise. Have any idea what it is??

I remember reading about that here yes.

I don't think it was that one, but GlissEQ, by Voxengo seems to do something similar (view different tracks at once and see where they overlap).

Always a pleasure. Funny coincidence, I've spent a couple of hours shopping for EQs today, and though not a prerequisite, that particular feature came back to mind.

Still haven't found exactly what I was looking for. Pro-Q might be the closest thing to what I have in mind, I'll have to give it a try someday soon.

     Thanks guys!

The blue cat plug gives an explanation of the signal routing chain which I didn't totally grasp on a quick read, but the overall idea seems to be that you have a routing matrix and you can load an instance on each track, select mono or stereo and then select the tracks to be compared together on one screen. This is what I was looking for, but I'm wondering about cpu load with a half a dozen instances and then the graphic comparison going on. OlPal does your machine still run like greased lightening with it loaded?

I'll probably download and try the Gliss plug because I really like the price on that one

The link Jimbo put up is really interesting too.........for 29 Washingtons I get Spaceboy and a wormhole....they make it so intrigueing. Spaceboy is some kind of an EQ reference and the Wormhole passes into another dimention is similar to the bluecat in that it seems to let you matrix your comparison tracks. Gliss isn't really clear on its approach to that but it wouldn't be difficult to find out.

      Has anyone used these?

Digitalboy I don't have powercore,so as nice as that plug looks I can't do it. That plug seems to be more automated in what it does. It seems to compare and them impose an EQ curve instead of being big on per track visuals. I could be wrong on that though.

I spent some time this evening looking over the plugs more in depth. They could all get you to the same place, only workflow seems a bit better on the Freqanalystmulti plug. I only say that because it has such a workable matrix compared to the others and I am a little more partial to the graphics in it.

Strangely Elevayta can export curves to the Gliss plug. Its not every day you see compatability like that with two different companies. I am really a little surprised that there are as many plugs that do the curve comparison. Thanks again for the help in finding these.

I downloaded the gliss demo and will try it out in a little more detail later. The price on Elevayta is really good if on a budget(aren't we all?). So far the most developed and workable idea looks like Freqanalystmulti . I plan to give it a spin to see if I'm correct on that assumtion.
