Re: I'm not pointing fingers at Toontrack at this point... but it seems odd

Just the tweaks to the drum kits in SD 2.4. I have some custom kits that load but for individual projects I have some drum pieces or cymbals that I set as none. That keeps the kit piece from loading. For instance, I use Latin Percussion EZD library. I may only need the congas. I click on the drop down for each kit piece I don't need. Select none. That turns that kit piece off. So when the LP loads it will only load the congas. I do the same thing with my drum kits. The Allaire Kit has 8 or 9 cymbals. I set the ones I don't need for none. Thus, every time that project loads, it will only load the kit pieces I set.
It keeps my load times down to hardly anything. I do perform live sometimes and since the economy tanked I have had to go solo instead of with a group. Superior could take an awful long time to load in a live situation. I found by cutting back on the drum pieces that take so much time to load, by just setting the pieces I need to load can save me a lot of time.
The problem was with the updated kits. Sonar did not remember the custom settings for SD2 because the kits were updated. Now, I'm having to go back and reset all my kits. Needless to say, it's not an issue with the studio work. I need that quicker load time for live applications.
