Imagine How It Could Be

https://soundcloud.com/or...magine-how-it-could-be

This song pretty much says everything I wanted to say but I'd still like to get it up to the standard 3 minutes or so length so will probably repeat the last verse or something in the next version.
After many many takes and a lot Melodyne, I'm fairly happy with the vocal (except for a couple of enunciation problems)
I really should find a vocalist if I keep this up.  Collaboration anyone?

Guitar - Ilya Efimov Acoustic Guitar and Strum Guitar
Guitar - RealGuitar (probably used it too much)

Thanks for listening and I appreciate any comments.

Imagine How It Could Be

Imagine one people sharing the world
Imagine the harmony
No countries no religion
Nothing to fight and die for

No more us against them
We are all the same A brotherhood of man
I'm sorry John that  world
is still not here

Survival of the fittest That's how it's always been
The way Mother Nature works
The strong ones will live and the weak will die
It's us against them

Guitar solo

The dreamers are still here
Imagining how it could be
What will it take for our selfishness to die
And the dreamers' dream to survive?

Great guitar track.  Sounds like some of skinny bones lampshade music,at least similar in style. Dreamers seldom learn the meaning of sacrifice.  Sacrifice is the difference between a moment and a movement.

Great song, some of those chords are real purdy. I think it could use a bass underscoring them.

Super clean mix so you should definitely add a bass to muck it all up.  :)

Thanks for the listen and the comment on the guitar track. I worked on that for quite some time.

I didn't think about a bass track. I'll give that a try in the next version.
I can't get enough of those purdy Maj7 chords.

Bjorn, this appeals to the John Lennon in me.  It's pure and honest, and I love the sentiment.   I think you're ready to expand with this song if you're willing.  I wouldn't mind hearing a little more accompaniment if possible, but either way, you have your mojo going.

    All the best,

    How timely can this be!

Bjorn, this is from the heart, and that is what I love about you, you always write for a reason.  To me, that is what is most important.

With that said, the guitar is very nice, and I you did a nice job of keeping it "real" which is not easy to do.  I believe your vocals are improving with each post.  I think you need to just keep on writing and performing.  It will only get nicer and nicer.

Yep, just needs a little bass and maybe some gentle percussion and/or tambo hit. I agree completely that you should ask Skinnybones Lampshade (Laura?) to sing with you.

Yes I like the chord progression for sure nice virtual guitars ...the two main ones have a complementary sound together . Sort of synergistic .After hearing this I can't imagine hearing it any other way ...
The songs message is powerful , it almost seems to me as an open letter to John where ever he is or may be .
I'm not gonna crit your singing , I myself am not a singer , but I sense that it may have took a fair amount of courage to sing your tune ....
What I'm about to say is based strictly on a hunch ...if you can use it fine if not ...it's all still good

I honestly wonder what would happen if you got together with a room full of young children and had all the various
little children read sections of your songs lyrics in time like your vocal as the music is playing .

    all the best,

    Hey Kenny
Thanks for the comments. I'm trying to picture a room full of kids reciting the lyrics, maybe not to this song but maybe something more kid-like. I like the idea, really. (And then I get into: wait I don't know any kids. Where do I get a room full of them? )
