Immanuel - Merry Christmas!
I did this a couple of years ago but remixed it significantly today... Trying to get better at that? It's at the top at; www.reverbnation.com/rockinrobby I know I know, a lot of people hate this site; sooooo. I am now also uploading it to my new Soundcloud account! :-) I'll post that link in a bit. There's a pretty good sized Orchestra at work here (which I love.) It's EWQL Gold, and I think I'm playing some Ivory on this, and my guitar, and singing. What's neat about this (IMO) is my production, and arrangement which I believe is somewhat unique. Merry Christmas everyone!

I just keep hitting rewind and play. Robby if there is every any doubt about your voice, this will put that to rest completely. The mix is the best I have heard from you. I would buy this. I would look forward to hearing this on the radio at Christmas, like I look forward to Bowie and Crosby's "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on earth", or Bela Lugosi's "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch".

really well done Robby. The production of the orchestra is excellent. I agree, this is one of your best mixes to date. Loving the accapella part.... verb is perfect for that cathedral sound. Beautiful.

notnat Fantastic arrangement/production... Absolutely beautiful... Outstanding work Robby... Thanks Franko American. I was like a blind tree rodent with a nut on this one :-) Lucked in to it! I actually really love Orchestral Productions? But my normal fare doesn't usually lend itself to that style, so I'm always excited when I have an opportunity to work with a score. After all, hey? WHO DOESN'T LOVE TO SCORE!

great job, Robbie. love the change-up in verse 2...you really bring up the folk roots of this piece at times, whilst using the orchestra nicely for some dramatisation!

This has all the options to be a really good tune but it seems that you hold it back for some reasons - now its ok - but with some more strains it will be a very good song.

In a time which should be reserved for love and sharing, we must endure a national tragedy (in the US) I don't pray as much as I should... But I did pray for those families. I thank all who have commented on this song. And the only words I can offer is that people have differences? We all understand this. But beyond that, there is good "and evil..." While we all love and celibate the good? We need to bear in mind that the evil does exist, and will. Do what you can to spread good, and stand against evil. Love those who are close to you while you can. Peace.

"Ok not into god botherer christmas music-Bah Humbug but as the rest of guys have noted-an excellent vocal. It had moments of celtic glory. The rest of the sounds are nice too. Peace Ben" Thanks Ben, yeah for some reason I had some kind of a battle mindset going when I did the production. That's probably the Celtic vibe. ================== Robby, "This is simply an amazing piece of work. Your voice and the instrumentation, plus a wonderful arrangement brought tears to my eyes. I absolutely loved this! Great job!" Mr. Glen, thank you very much for listening and for commenting! I'd like to get another couple out by the end of the year, but this is it for Christmas :-) ================== "Breathtaking, my friend! Best mix of yours to date also." Stringjammer, I am slowly getting better at the mixing.. Thank you, that is high praise coming from you! ================== "this is one of the best I've heard from you Robby. just fantastic!" Reece, thank you for your kind review. ================== "I got distracted... I think the arranging and the way it is pre mixed by the arrangement is really impressive. " Mr. Mccue, I wish it was pre-mixed :-) Thank you sir! I left "space" so things could jump out and grab center stage. ================== "really well done Robby. The production of the orchestra is excellent. I agree, this is one of your best mixes to date. Loving the accapella part.... verb is perfect for that cathedral sound. Beautiful." Herby Clause, thank you siri! That VERB is a huge EMT Plate reverb! (it's a convo, Altiverb) But I picked a massive plate. Merry Christmas everyone!
