Excellent stuff Frank. Your guitar work is excellent and fits perfectly with the rest of the instrumentation and the mix sound pretty durn good! I like the quick, little ending. Freddy J

I have this on my mp3 and have logged many vertical miles with it in my ears. This is a great version. It really surprises me that I, stuck in my ways, usually don't like an instrumental anywhere as much as the vocal version. This is an exception.

This is pretty amazing. Fiddle players and good sax players always amaze me... Jeff is brilliant, and the track/recording is just great. And while I love the dobro, and it's well played here, I'm not sure it fits the vibe. Really a great tune though, and masterfully performed.

I think you ought to put both versions together, with the singing being the second part, and the sax the first part (maybe edit some of it out perhaps for length.) ??

I like this better than the vocal version. I had never heard of Imogen Heap before some of the guys here started mixing her tune. I still don't know who she is. (I think I will go look her up after I post this.) That's what comes of never listening to popular radio. I listen to jazz and blues and 40s music. I lead a sheltered life. But, I turned Gary on to Scotty Anderson, so here is another tidbit, check out Stephen King on Youtube (the guitar player, not the horror novelist.) There are rock and country bands that have enjoyed huge and long careers and I can't tell you a single tune they did. But I like the vibe on this, the mix, the sax, all of it. Very nice. Daryl

She has a nice year'ish long blog on Youtube, of building a studio that's a good watch. She covers a lot of other stuff along the way but mostly it's about building a small studio in her house, and the making of an album in it. Check out these two videos, which I think are particularly interesting, and very different, one being very studio based and manipulated and one being live. She's very talented: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYIAfiVGluk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25VGdNU3nrU

ALWAYS a pleasure to listen to your pieces. Nicely laidback, with glimpses of Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan... The production is so good. The marimba, so well found. Lovely theme, the sax is great but I am dying to hear a vocal on this and found it(!) in the second link. Wow,what can I say. Thanks for sharing at least!
