Import audio freezes

Hi,
 
I want to import or add audio stream which are mp3 files. The import process shows importing audio stream (50%) and nothing happen... I let it run for several hours and it hasn't work. GTP freezes. Is there anything I should know about importing?

    Welcome to the forum Adam.

    GTP doesn't much favor importing an MP3 file. In fact I have had little success with trying. However, it loves importing WAV files. So the easiest way to correct your problem and stop the audio freeze is to convert your MP3 file to a WAV file.

    Try burning it to CD and then ripping it back on your computer with Windows Media Player or if you are an iTunes user; just set your preferences, under the edit menu>preferences>import settings, to WAV format.

    One last tip. WAV files are bigger than MP3 files so to ensure that another freeze does not occur; make sure and turn off the input echo feature in GTP. I found that it will lock up, dropout and everything you do not want to a slower CPU.

    Hi and thanks for the reply. I don't know why but last night importation worked fine!!!! Anyway, I'll do what you says and convert files in Wav format before importing it.
