Just a matter of time until someone came up with MACROS for a DAW. I like it but this will take the discipline out of using a DAW.... will turn us all into a bunch of programmers making scripts for SONAR... but I do like it and would use it if the BAKERS cooked something like this into X.... sort of like CAL scripts on steroids. Yup this is the way it is going. If you want to beat the big boys you have to have a KILLER UI with a SMOOTH experience to make your DAW look more like an iPhone (or Android) rather than a Nokia 3310. Make them look out dated, old fashioned and obsolete.
Those that don't adapt will die and in their place will be this guys like the one in the video and his scary music.

What impressed me was actually the time-saving features for those who make money out of music.
Features such as doing stems and exports at the touch of a button - anyone who thinks that is making music production into music-for-dummies should try backing up a 16 track album (in a future-proof way) with 120 audio tracks per song, just in case someone MIGHT want the files in three years from now. It takes two days to do that properly - unpaid :O)

Yeah it's pretty cool alright. But since it's basically just a touchscreen on steroids with some macros the price point seems prohibitive.

Wow... A few things were just mildly impressive and there were a few times when I thought "yeah, you can just be creative... but not until the friggin' command is done!". But overall? Just, wow... If I was a PT user and had the cash, I would absolutely go for this! The ability to create SONAR macros, assign them to icons, and then use them with a nice touch-screen would sure be a great start.

Inside of 20 years it will all be automated, inspired by humans, implemented by AI. Laugh now, but... For us home enthusiasts it will be out of reach for a long while, and of course, the ear will adapt to the new crap available to listen to, so the big box studios will jump on this. Then again, I am just a fool with a rant.
