Improvements Only? - You Who Have Upgraded to X3e From X3(earlier)

I'm on X3c contemplating the upgrade to X3e.  Has any DAW capability deteriorated for you moving to X3e from an earlier version of X3 or is it pretty much improvements all around?  Has anything improved with the mackiecontrol.dll or is it still the same?  Thanks.

Pretty much what it lists :

Individually they are mostly minor but collectively they are worthwhile improvements.  A lot depends on what issues you may or may not be experiencing.  For instance, if you are one of the people who had the console emulator buzz issue, you should be running to download updates.  I can say I have had no adverse effects.  Too my knowledge the mackie.dll issue was not addressed.

Haven't Cakewalk released the source codes for the various Controller so that development can continue by the user community?

I guess I hadn't seen a declaration of disinterest in maintaining the Mackie Control Protocol from Cakewalk.  Was that what the source release meant, that they're focusing on touchscreen now and the control surface folks are on their own?  As a user, I'd rather not have to write the software, I just want to use it.  Know what I mean?

Noel's most recent post indicated fixes were soon to be released. It is just a little behind schedule. http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3012143

I have had only positive results and the MIDI bus improvements are very important to me.
