I love the feel. Vocal needs to be louder to hear the lyrics clearly. The melody is really good. Some minor vocal pitch issues. Could also use some sub lows on the kick and bass. The whole idea is so nice. Good job!. Dreamy, Moody Blues 'ish to my ears. Rimshot

Hi Martin, Like Rimshot, I love the feel. You should use some subtle auto-tune on the vocals because although Maren has a lovely voice and 99% of the notes are spot on there are a couple of notes that could be brought into line with some judicious auto-tuning. Great song though, and your backing to it is fabulous. Cheers, Terry.

Hi Rimshot/Terry Thanks for the feedback... this is another one of those learning curves for me...as dealing with vocals is a first... and believe you me I did try my best to process the vocals as best I could... yes I know there are some tuning issues with Maren's voice...as for Auto-Tune if its the style of vocals that make a singer sound robotic then I hate that!! But, I have got used to using v-vocal by splitting Maren's vocals up into segments and trying to match the waveform the the correct note which on the whole worked well. What I couldn't do was change the vocal where it was almost 'sliding' like a portamento on a synth.. but glad that you liked the song overall... Martin

I agree that the vocal could be louder, but it didn't distract from the overall vibe of the song. You have an original sound here that's fun to listen to. I particularly liked the percussion. A little low end would give this some kick. Overall, you did well.

Martin, It is probobly my old ears (I think Terry can hear much better that I can), but I didn't find Maren's pitch unplesant anywhere in the song. Probably an old ears problem as well, but I would like this more if her voice stood out a bit better. The instruments seem to compete for space with her voice when I listen to it. Glen

Thank you Lynn, I thought that I had brought the vocals out but again its probably my inexperience dealing with vocals (always writing instrumentals usually)..I had the vocals on a number of tracks and then made a vocal bus for them so I could bring them out with regard to the rest of the sounds.. sounds like a tad more would have been better. Thanks for the comments... Martin

Could do with some more bottom and perhaps a little less reverb on the vocal might bring the clarity that is missing. Good vibe and generally well presented. Thanks for sharing.

cool.Percussin is cool and the vocal melody is great. The vocals are a bit washed out and need to come up front more. Pitching didnt bother me too much, but some melodyn or whatever should be able to handle those without sounding robotic. I dont find vvocal that powerful, but good for small corrections with a strong signal. Cian

quietman ...as for Auto-Tune if its the style of vocals that make a singer sound robotic then I hate that!! Nah, AutoTune done to the extreme makes a singer sound robotic. There are various settings all the way from "almost no difference" to "sounds like T-Pain". I've used it on guitar a couple of times in the past when I've not managed to bend a note all the way up to the next tone - with the right settings it doesn't affect the bending/glissando, just the final note. Cheers, Terry.
