Wow, this is right up my alley.   I definitely hear bits of all the bands mentioned previously, all of which I like.  But I can also hear a Saga style vocal added - I'm not sure whatever happened to them after the 80's but I always liked them.  A band I was in way back when used to play On the Loose...

Arrangement and mix-wise I've got nothing to add - it all comes across very well.

PS... just finished listening to Glass Slipper too.    I really like your style choices.

Glad you enjoyed this piece! Saga is still around. I think their label is Canadian, so you have to look for their albums to find them.

Thanks for listening to The Glass Slipper as well, I enjoy creating these.

Wow! This is great Dan. There is not a moment that feels like it shouldn't be there and I felt like the song was over before I knew it. The drums and lead synths in particular stand out as, well, "stand outs". Very nice work.

Dan,

Love those synth sounds.    Lot's of discernible influences but very original nonetheless.  Very interesting throughout.  Really good mix.    Listened several times over the past days.

Very nice, Dan. I like your rich layering of sound. Yes, it's retro sound, but I like that stuff.
I've been neglecting my synths lately, and this makes me want to start digging into them again.

It does have that Styx feel to it.  Terrific mix!  Huge sound, rock opera-ish....

Loved the percussion.

Hi Dan, always enjoy your tunes, and this was a really good one. I have a fondness for those synth sounds too, I imagine that's from my teenage years listening to '70's prog.

I like the arrangement details in your pieces, and you have some very clever transitions happening here.
