In a fog

Well, I've been on muscle relaxers and steroids for almost a week now.  A large part of that time, I was sitting in a recliner with a heating pad on my back, wondering why everything around me was moving so quickly.  I had to go back to work today, so I'm off of the Flexoril for now.  I must say, I'm not enjoying the experience.

While the discomfort is bearable, I still feel as though I'm in a fog.  Everyone around me is moving at Bapu-Speed (even faster than Ludicrous Speed).  They keep telling me that their post count matters not (ThatorEd).  Since I'm not an air traffic controller, I can't get a good nap here at work.

The worst part is that I didn't turn into the Hulk this week.  With all of those steroids, I had expected that I'd be ripping up shirts, growing three times my original size, and speaking in monosyllables.  Sadly, I've only managed the last one.  Oh.  And I'm green.  So, that's something.

I saw a movie not long ago about a fog. It was very different than what
you describe...but somehow just as scary.

I'd accept all of that if Liv Tyler came along with the package...

    Today's status.

Tuesday, April 19, 2011, I lack the energy and strength to beat you properly.  There is a risk that you may experience an injury free day.  To mitigate this risk, I have contracted an outside resource to provide this service.  Have a nice day.

    Watch your step...

just keep a handy supply of becan and becan samwiches.  protein and fat will help strenthen you and will help you realize that your boss is nothing like Liv Tyler.  that's important when he calls you into his office for "performance evaluation" - you really don't want to think of him as Liv during that interview.  trust me.

You see, Beagle.  Humans lack certain essential defensive mechanisms.  Rather than growl and bite one another as any civilized species would do, we are forced to impale and slash at one another with our cutlery when someone attempts to purloin some of our becan.  The spoon is purely a diversionary tactic designed to lull one's opponent into a false sense of complacency.

I've been led to believe that, in a pinch, spoons are helpful for removing eyeballs from their rightful owner.

Or perhaps for administering a crisp *whack* on the head when in opportune utterances occur.

    I dunno.

I'm still recovering from forum withdrawal, so my brain isn't yet back in sync.
