Remember the excitement prior to every previous release? I'd place my order within minutes of the BUY link going live.

X1, just as the marketing literature claimed, changed everything.

What happened to good old fashioned cynicism?

I don't think I'm excited (X2ited?) as much as casually enthusiastic. I just want the take lanes and to see what R-Mix can do for me. The only two pieces of software I've ever been truly excited about have been BFD (I literally almost sobbed when I realized what it was gonna mean for my recordings) and the first Call of Duty. The rest has mostly been just more crap to make me feel stupid but I buy it anyway because it's necessary. Now that's not to say I wasn't pretty jazzed to get X1 but I KNEW I wasn't gonna be able to use it to the extent I wanted right out of the box... and here I am almost five months later and JUST getting to the mixing stage of a tester project. No regrets though. It is very nice software... even if it calls me stupid on a daily basis.

So does this mean we get our download links on the 20th? That would be cool.

That is what I am thinking, or maybe the 19th since the presale people get it a day before the release. That would be OK! New stuff to learn!!

I am looking forward to R-Mix.

I am going to get up early so I can download it before Bapu... heh. I have two acoustic guitars, one plays and sounds better tuned 1/2 step low and the other sounds and plays better in standard. I hope varispeed varimix R-Mix will make this easy to work with.

As a self-described software junkie, I've already got my pre-sale ordered, have the free dimension pro strings downloaded, have already purchased the full versions of TH2 and Breverb2, and will be sitting by my computer tonight at midnight to see if a download becomes available for X2. Pretty lame, I know. But I'd rather be a software junkie than a heroin junkie! ;)

I wonder which one would cost more?

Greg
I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
Everything is better with pie.
