In the eyes of...

I see guitars.

My wife put up with 2 1/2 years of this stacked in our den.
She never said a negative word about it.

I got to move it to my shop today and it just looks so beautiful
I wanted to share.

The double cut Tele is the first body I ever made. It had a Carvin
neck...I didn't know how to make a neck then.
Not meaning to say anything bad about Carvin but that neck was sad.

The laminated neck was one I culled from Steves build. Tonal reasons.

Another step closer and just feeling good about it.

    Ooh. Looks nice.

I don't see all guitars though.

I see some of them as nice basses.

LOL I should have included basses. I guess it shows my
lack of confidence in knowing much about them. Without
the 45+ years of playing one -not much to base my opinion
    on.

I have a mess going on. I've moved everything in but nothing
is organized. Reluctant to show but I'll take some after lunch anyway.

Man I was up against an Alembic and a player Ed!
I was so proud to building that bass...it seemed very large lol. Still Am. (had to add that:)

Two workstations- one will be for fretting/leveling the one at end
will be for wiring and set-up. That's the plan but my first build may
    change everything lol.

I needed a place for my wife and grand daughter to sit and visit so
thought I should make it a place for me sleep if needed.

The big power tools are all on wheels. I decided a 12'x12' room would be
enough. The tools are for specific tasks so it's easy to just roll one out
when needed. It's really the messy part of building and the room/building is very tight.

I was suppose to go into town and get the wood to build a big storage cabinet
today but looks like rain so I'm kicking back on a possible rain-out.

I did manage to get all my guitar mags organized and in boxes. Found out many
of them are worth some bucks on ebay...one of the quirks of being an old fart.
Do you remember the little plastic records that came inside Guitar Player? I learned
to play steel guitar from them! Just enough to know I wasn't a steel guitar player at heart.

I learned all one needs to know about sheetrock...if somebody asks a question about it
    you answer...I don't know. :)
Someone that really knows about it would probably shake their head with amazement..
    and say, nice color lol.
I'm sure there will be many things on these walls before long anyway.

I wonder if this how Les Paul got started.

Ohhhhhhh Les!  Get your wood out of the den.

    Thanks guys.

I guess...I never tossed any of my guitar magazines.
I lost about 10 years of them somehow...probably in a move.
The ones not lost go back to '84. From around '75 to '83 got lost.

    Kev---LOL

It is expensive. They hammer the small guy and then UPS steps in and
makes sure it was done right.

There is a board I recently acquired that can't been seen. I don't know if
it's rare but I jumped on it. It's a figured piece of Sapele. Absolutely amazing
    piece.

Never heard of it so I had to go Google it and, yes it is!  Here's a sample:

    Mancave.

I like the sound of that idea.

This looks like a particularly good one to have.
