Increase wav file tempo

I need to increase the tempo of a track.I have imported a wav file its 3 minutes long and the only track i need.I need to increase the tempo from about 70 bpm to about 80,whats the best way to do this.

    You should open up AudioSnap, select all transients and mess around with the settings until you get a good enough result. It's likely to not be perfect though, as it's wav. The only way to get perfect tempo changes is with MIDI...     I use the free Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
    to increase or decease wav tempos. Just remember that if you go to far either way you will get into artifacts.

    You can also just Process Audio and change the length.

    StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
    I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    ^ True that, or select Smart Tool, ctrl+click the right-hand edge of the track and increase its length to what is required (up to 400%). This however introduces hella artifacts. A cool effect if that's what you're after, but definitely not a viable option if you want to increase the tempo of an actual finished song and maintain audio fidelity...

    When stretching audio in SONAR that way, it uses the AudioSnap algorithm. To get a higher quality, stretch the audio, choose an appropriate algorithm, and then bounce the audio to hear the result.

    ...but to increase the tempo, the clip must be shrunk, not stretched. I think shrinking causes less artefacts than stretching.
